Around two months ago, we introduced you to the unknown producer, singer, songwriter Bailie with her luscious electronic track ‘Unaware’. We’re still none the wiser as to what Bailie’s story is, but we’re coming back to this mysterious artist once again as she’s dropped a seven-track EP called Soft Me. Featuring five original tracks, two covers and a tribute song to Mac Miller, it’s a really promising release that shows Bailie’s floating style, gentle production and captivating voice. Topping the EP is ‘Rose Coloured Haze’, which opens with Bailie’s sweet falsetto “I wanna run away / with some who understands me.” The gentle pull of her vocals are enveloped into shimmering electronica, minimalist beats and simple harp-like notes. ‘Rose Coloured Haze’ sounds every bit a romantic trance. - Hannah Thacker
